He outlived nearly every one who knew him and might explain him. An extraordinary man who led an extraordinary life. And so we have been left with a two dimensional portrait of the duke, salt tongued and short tempered, a man who told of colour jokes and made politically incorrect remarks, an eccentric great uncle who'd been around forever and towards whom most people felt affection, but who rather too often embarrassed himself and others in company. With his death, will come reassessment because Prince Philip was an extraordinary life, a life intimately  connected with the sweeping changes of our turbulent 20th century, a life of fascinating contrast and contradiction of service and some degree of solitude. A complex, clever eternally restless man. He believes, he has a creative mission, to present the monarchy's a dynamic involved and responsive institution that will address itself to some of the problems of contemporary British socity.

Inhabitants of the caribbean island of St vincent have woken up to extremely heavy ash fall and sulphur smells after Friday's eruption of the la soufriere volcano. Emergency management officials said the volcano's emissions had advanced to the country's capital kingstown. Witnesses said the volcano was still rumbling and emitting dark clouds of ash thousands of metres into the air. la soufriere, dormant for decades started to become active in December. Thousands of people have been forced out of their homes, and on Thursday prime minister urged more than 16000 residents in red zones to evacuate. Ash fall has been recorded as far from the volcano as Argyle international Airport some 20km away, St vincent's National Emergency Management organization said. The volcano had been dormant since 1979, but in late 2020 is started spewing steam and smoke and making rumbling noises.

The discovery of a 3000 year old city that was lost to the sands of Egypt has been hailed as one of the most important archaeological finds since Tutankhamun's Tomb. Famed Egyptologist zahi Hawass announced the discovrty of the lost golden city near luxur on Thursday. He said the find was the largest ancient city, known as Aten, ever uncovered in Egypt. It was unearthed within weeks of the excavation starting in september 2020. The city dates to the reign of Amenhotep lll, one of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs, who ruled from 1391 to 1353 BC. The city contiued to be used by pharaohs  Ay and Tutankhamun, whose nearly intact tomb was discovered in the valley of the kings by Howard Carter in 1922. The discovery of this lost city is the second most important archaeological discovery since the Tomb of Tutankhamun, Betsy Brian, professor of Egyptology at Hopkins university, said.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has told citizens to prepare for hard times ahead, following warnings from rights groups that the country faces dire food  shortages and economic instability. Speaking at a party conference, Mr Kim appeared to compare the situation to the devastating 1990s famine, estimated to have killed hundreds of thousands. North Korea has shut its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic. Trade with china, its economic lifeline has come to a standstill. This is on top of existing international economic sanctions over Pyongyang's nuclear programme. In a rare admission of looming hardship, the authoritarian leader of the single party state on Thursday called on officials to wage another more difficult , Arduous March in order to relieve our people of the difficulty, even a little.

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth ll's husband, has died aged 99, Buckingham palace has announced. A statement issued by the palace just after midday spoke of the Queen's deep sorrow following his death at windsor castle on Friday morning. The Duke of Edinburgh the longest serving royal consert in British history , was at  the Queen's side for more than her six decades of reign. Boris Johnson said, he inspired the lives of countless young peoole. It is with deep sorrow that here Majesty the Queen announces the death of her beloved husband , the palace said, the Royal family join with people  around the world in mourning his loss. The duke had earned the affection of generations here, across the commonwealth and around the world. The flag at Buckingham palace was lowered to half-mast and a notice was posted on the gates following the announcement of the duke's death.

Kim Kardashian has been added to the  Forbes billionaire list thanks to her businesses and investments. Her fortune mainly comes from her stakes in and ownership of two companies,KKW beauty cosmetics and her shape wear company skims. Ms Kardashian west sold 20% of KKW beauty to cosmetics giant Coty last year for $200m, In a deal valuing the business at $1bn. Her most recent project, Skims , offers underwear and loungewear in the founder's signature minimalist style, and has proven successful during the work from home era  She became famous along side her family when they started the hit show keeping up with the Kardashians, which airs its 20th and final series this year.
