Covid-19 Crisis revealed Social Inequality.

The novel coronavirus (covid-19) crisis has revealed how unequal societies are, according to united Nations(UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres in a message on world health day. On this world Health Day, we highlight the inequalities and injustice of our health systems he said. He explained that within countries , illness and death from covid-19 has been higher among people and communities that contend with poverty, unfavourable living and working conditions, discrimination and social exclusion. Globally the vast majority of vaccine doses administered have been in a few wealthy countries or those producing vaccines, he said, adding thanks to the COVAX initiative, more nations are now beginning to receive vaccine supplies but most people in low and middle income countries still must watch and wait. Guterres confirmed that such inequities are immoral and dangerous for the world's health, economies and socities.

Extraordinary Prince.

He outlived nearly every one who knew him and might explain him. An extraordinary man who led an extraordinary life. And so we have been left with a two dimensional portrait of the duke, salt tongued and short tempered, a man who told of colour jokes and made politically incorrect remarks, an eccentric great uncle who'd been around forever and towards whom most people felt affection, but who rather too often embarrassed himself and others in company. He believes, he has a creative mission, to present the monarchy's a dynamic involved and responsive institution that will address itself to some of the problems of contemporary British socity.

Caribbean Volcano.

Inhabitants of the caribbean island of St vincent have woken up to extremely heavy ash fall and sulphur smells after Friday's eruption of the la soufriere volcano. Emergency management officials said the volcano's emissions had advanced to the country's capital kingstown. Witnesses said the volcano was still rumbling and emitting dark clouds of ash thousands of metres into the air. la soufriere, dormant for decades started to become active in December. Thousands of people have been forced out of their homes, and on Thursday prime minister urged more than 16000 residents in red zones to evacuate. Ash fall has been recorded as far from the volcano as Argyle international Airport some 20km away, St vincent's National Emergency Management organization said. The volcano had been dormant since 1979, but in late 2020 is started spewing steam and smoke and making rumbling noises.

Egypt Discovered Lost Golden City

The discovery of a 3000 year old city that was lost to the sands of Egypt has been hailed as one of the most important archaeological finds since Tutankhamun's Tomb. Famed Egyptologist zahi Hawass announced the discovrty of the lost golden city near luxur on Thursday. He said the find was the largest ancient city, known as Aten, ever uncovered in Egypt. It was unearthed within weeks of the excavation starting in september 2020. The city dates to the reign of Amenhotep lll, one of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs, who ruled from 1391 to 1353 BC. The city contiued to be used by pharaohs  Ay and Tutankhamun, whose nearly intact tomb was discovered in the valley of the kings by Howard Carter in 1922. The discovery of this lost city is the second most important archaeological discovery since the Tomb of Tutankhamun, Betsy Brian, professor of Egyptology at Hopkins university, said.

North Korea Famine.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has told citizens to prepare for hard times ahead, following warnings from rights groups that the country faces dire food  shortages and economic instability. Speaking at a party conference, Mr Kim appeared to compare the situation to the devastating 1990s famine, estimated to have killed hundreds of thousands. North Korea has shut its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic. Trade with china, its economic lifeline has come to a standstill. This is on top of existing international economic sanctions over Pyongyang's nuclear programme. In a rare admission of looming hardship, the authoritarian leader of the single party state on Thursday called on officials to wage another more difficult , Arduous March in order to relieve our people of the difficulty, even a little.

Elizabeth ll's Husband Died.

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth ll's husband, has died aged 99, Buckingham palace has announced. A statement issued by the palace just after midday spoke of the Queen's deep sorrow following his death at windsor castle on Friday morning. The Duke of Edinburgh the longest serving royal consert in British history , was at  the Queen's side for more than her six decades of reign. Boris Johnson said, he inspired the lives of countless young peoole. It is with deep sorrow that here Majesty the Queen announces the death of her beloved husband , the palace said, the Royal family join with people  around the world in mourning his loss. The duke had earned the affection of generations here, across the commonwealth and around the world. The flag at Buckingham palace was lowered to half-mast and a notice was posted on the gates following the announcement of the duke's death.

Kardashian Becomes a Billionaire.

Kim Kardashian has been added to the  Forbes billionaire list thanks to her businesses and investments. Her fortune mainly comes from her stakes in and ownership of two companies,KKW beauty cosmetics and her shape wear company skims. Ms Kardashian west sold 20% of KKW beauty to cosmetics giant Coty last year for $200m, In a deal valuing the business at $1bn. Her most recent project, Skims , offers underwear and loungewear in the founder's signature minimalist style, and has proven successful during the work from home era  She became famous along side her family when they started the hit show keeping up with the Kardashians, which airs its 20th and final series this year.

Stop Transgender Surgeries.

Arkansas has become the firist US state to outlaw gender confirming treatments and Surgery for transgender people under the age of 18. The bill also in effect bans doctors from providing puberty blockers or from reffering them to other providers for the treatment. The republican state governor had vetoed the bill, calling it a vast government overreach. But the state's republican controlled House and Senate overruled him. The bill has faced much opposition from groups including the American Academy of pediatrics, which said the law would block trans youth from important medical care and increase their already high risk of suicide. The American civil liberties union said it was preparing litigation, stating that the bill will drive families, doctors and Businsses out of the state and send a terrible and heart breaking message to the transgender youth who are watching in Fear.

Saudi and Emirates Involved in Jordan Coup.

Saudi officials have categoricallly denied suggestions their country had any role in the alleged coup attempt in Jordan. Saudi Foreign minister prince faisal bin farhan flew to the Jordanian capital Amman with a delegation in order,say Saudi officials, to express complete solidarity with Jordan king Abdullah and his government. When the crisis was at its peak over the weekend, Jordanian officials said their security agencies had been monitoring the activities of prince Hamzah and more than a dozen officials for some time. One of the most prominent figures arrested on  Saturday was Bassem Awadallah, the former head of Jordan's royal court, as well as his position close to Saudi crown prince. He has links to the de facto ruler of the United Arab Emirates, crown prince  Mohammed bin Zayed. He has reportedly been involved in recent UAE backed purchases of palestinian land around Jerusalem.

Israel new Government.

Israel president has tasked Benjamin Netanyahu with forming a new government following recent elections which didn't produce a clear winner. Mr Netanyahu, Israel caretaker prime minister, got the most endorsements from MPs as the candidate to try to put a ruling coalition together. Neither he nor opposition parties won enough votes in last month's polls to be sure of forming a government. The elections in March were a record fourth in two years. Three earlier  rounds ended inconclusively. Mr Netanyahu's opportunity comes at the same time as he stands trial on charges of Fraud, bribery and breach of trust. He has denounced the accusations against him as a politically motivated, which hunt. The leader of the right wing likud party now has an initial 28 days to try to secure sufficient backing from other parties in parliament to join him in a governing coalition.

US-Iran Starting New Stage.

The United States has joined Talks in viena aimed at reviving the Iran nuclear deal, which the Trump administration abandoned in 2018. President Joe Biden has said he wants to return to the landmark accord. But the six remaining state parties need to find a way for him to lift the sanctions imposed by his predecessor and for Iran to return to the agreed limits on its nuclear programme. Iran has said it will not meet the US face to face until that happens. The top US officials attending the meeting in Austria are reportedly based in a different hotel to the one hosting the meeting of the delegations from Iran and the other world powers are china, France, Germany, Russia and the UK. European officials are acting as intetmediaries. We don't underestimate the scale of the challenges ahead, US state department spoksman, told reporters on Monday.

South America Grappling Covid-19.

Coronavirus figures released by health authorities across South America on Monday show a number of countries grappling with a spike in infections and deaths. Uruguay and Paraguay registered record numbers of daily deaths, while the total number of covid cases surpassed the 13 million mark in Brazil. The surge has been attributed to the spread of the Brazil variant. The variant is thought to be more than twice as transmissible as the original. Brazilian public health institute says, it has detected 92 variants of coronavirus in the country. Experts say that the development of new variants is not surprising, all viruses mutate as they make copies of themselves to spread. It has mutations on the spike protein, that part of the virus which attaches to human cells and it is these mutations which are thought to make it more transmissible.

Kenya Woman Defeated Covid-19.

At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Josephine Muchilwa was working as a cook, but like many others in Kenya and around the world, she lost her job. Idon't have any job, Idon't have a life, Idon't have any food for my kids. Her low paid job in the kitchen of a local school went when pupils were told to study at home. She was left wondering how she was going to feed her family of four children. I'm just bargaining with God, the 31 year old told the TV programme. But after hearing about her plight, a couple of generous listeners stepped in with a donation. It was not a huge amount, about $ 150 it was enough to allow Josephine to launch herself into a fruit and vegetable business. Travelling by bus to a big wholesale market in the centre of Kenya's capital, she bought 25 kg sacks of onions, tomatoes and more, bringing them back to Kibera where she began renting a small, wooden Kiosk.

Indonesia Floods.

At least 113 people have died after flash flood and landslides hit Indonesia and east Timor on Sunday. Torrential rains sparked wide spread destruction in the south east Asian neighbours, with water from overflowing dams submerging thousands of homes. The affected area stretches from Flores island in eastern Indonesia to east Timor. In Indonesia alone, 86 people have died with dozens still missing. Officials warn the toll could stilll rise. The mud and the extreme weather have become a serious challenge and the debris piling up has hampered the search and rescue team, Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman, told the media. We suspect many people are buried but it's not clear how many are missing. The evacuees are spread out. There are hundreds in each sub district but many others are staying at home. They need medicine, food and blankets.

Dubai Public Debauchery.

A group has been arrested in Dubai accused of public debauchery after an out door nude photoshoot. Video footage posted online on saturday shows a group of naked women having their photo taken on a balcony. Eleven Ukrainian women are among those detained, the Ukrainian consulate told the media. A Russian was also detaind, according to Russian media. Public debauchery carries a sentence of up to six months in prison and a 5000 dirham fine. Many of the UAE's laws are based on sharia law and people have been jailed in the past for public displays of affection and homosexual relationships. Roughly a dozen women were pictured on the balcony in the Marina district of Dubai. Earlier reports in Russian media that eight Russian women were arrested have since been denied, a Russian who organised the shoot has been arrested.

Facebook Database Leak.

A data leak involving personal details of hundreds of millions of  Facebook users is being reviewed by Ireland's Data protection commission. The database is believed to contain a mix of facebook profile names, Phone numbers, locations and other facts about more than 530 million people. Facebook says the data is old from a previously reported leak in 2019. But the Irish DPC said it will work with Facebook, to make sure that in the case. Ireland's regulator is critical to such investigations, as facebooks, European headquaters is in Dublin, making it an important regulator for the Eu. The most recent data dump appears to contain the entire compromised database from the previous leak, which Facebook said it found and fixed more than a year and a half ago. But the dataset has now been published for Free in a hacking forum, making it much more widely available.

Paris Clandestine Luxury Parties.

French police have launched an investigation into alleged clandestine fine dining and parties in paris, revealed in an undercover TV report. French interior Minister Gerald Darmanin ordered the probe, saying such gatherings, breaching covid lockdown rules, would be totally unacceptable. A private TV channel Tweeted the undercovered video,with the description, caviar, champagne, top chefs, menus and no masks allowed. The new restrictions took effect nationally on saturday and will continue for four weeks, with the aim of curbing  a surge in covid-19 cases. On sunday the number of covid patients in intensive care rose to 5,341, putting hospitals under huge strain. All schools and non essential shops are shut and a night curfew. The video showed an unnamed private dining club in a smart district of paris. Where guests were told they could remove their masks.

New York Subway Baby.

Danny Stewart was Rushing to meet his boyfriend for dinner when he ran post something lying on the floor of a New York Subway station. Soon he would treasure it more than anything else in the world. It was around eight o'clock on 28 August 2000, just past the Frenzy of the New York rush hour when a subway train rattled down the track into 14th street station, in the chelsea district of Manhattan. Florida Toxic Wastewater Leak.

A state of emergency has been declared in Florida after a leak from a large pond of Toxic wastewater in Tampe Bay. More than 300 homes in the area have been evacuated and a motorway near the piney point reservoir has been closed. On sunday Florida Governor Ron Desantis said the water was not radioactive and was primarily salt water from a dredging project mixed with legacy process water and storm water runoff. The priority was to prevent a real catastrofic flood situation, he said. The pond where the leak was found is in a stock of phosphogypsum, a radioactive waste product from the manufacture of fertiliser. Attempts to repair the leak late on Friday, by plugging the hole with rocks and other materials, were unsuccessful. On Sunday water was being pumped our of the pond at a rate of 33 million gallon a day.

Jordan Crown Prince Arrested.

The former crown prince of Jordan is accused of trying to mobilise tribal leaders against the government, the country's deputy prime minister says. Prince Hamzah bin Hussein worked with foreign entities to destabilise the state, Ayman safadi said, The Prince had earlier released Two videos to media, claiming he was being held under house arrest. He denied conspiracy, but accused Jordan's leaders of corruption and incompetence. Sixteen people, including a former adviser to king Abdullah and another member of the royal family, were arrested on Saturday for allegedly threatening security. In his videos, Prince Hamzah, the king's half brother, said he had been told he could not go out or communicate with people. The move is thought to follow a visit by the prince to tribal leaders, where he is said to have garnered some support.

France Third Lockdown.

France has entered its third national lockdown as it battles a surge in cases of covid-19 that threatens to overwhelm the country's hospitals. All schools and non essential shops will shut for four weeks and a curfew will be in place from 7 evening to 6 morning. On Friday, The number of seriously ill covid patients in intensive care units (ICU) increased by145 the biggest jump in five months. President Emmanuel Macron has promised more hospital beds for covid patients. France is currently battling a peak of about 5000 covid patients in ICUs. On Friday, the country recorded 46,677 new cases and 304 deaths. As well as the restrictions that came into force on Saturday, from Tuesday people will also need a valid reason to travel more than 10km from their homes. President Macron had hoped to keep France's coronavirus cases under control without having to impose another lockdown.

Egyptian Mummies Transported to New Museum.

Egyptians have been witnessing a historic procession of their country's ancient rulers through the capital, Cairo. The lavish, multimillion doller spectacle saw 22 mummies,18 kings and four queens transported from the peach coloured, neo classical Egyptian Museum to their new resting place 5km away . With tight security arrangements befitting their royal blood and status as national Treasures, the mummies were relocated to the new National museum of Egyptian civilisation in what is called the pharaohs Golden parade. They were transported with great fanfare in chronological order of their reigns from the17th Dynasty ruler, Seqenenre Taa ll, to Ramses lX, who reigned in the 12th century BC. Egypt experienced sharp rise in covid-19 infections a year ago, but following a decline in the number of cases and deaths, restrictions on open air gathering were later lifted.

South Africa Women Infodemic.

In South Africa, a small group of volunteers is waging an online battle against covid-19 and vaccine misinformation much of it comes from abroad. When Sarah Downs Tweeted about how her grandmother had died from covid-19, there was one response she didn't expect. I had just posted a message on Twitter basically saying my amazing grandma passed away and she meant a lot to me, she says. So then I had someone asking me well, was there an autopsy done? What were the autopsy results? you don't know that she passed away from covid. She could have passed away  from something else. She had run directly into a covid-19 denier. They're a relatively small. At the top end of the information pipeline are a relatively small collection of Facebook groups and users, including some that have actively promoted hard line anti vaccination content for years.

London women Disappearance.

A month ago, Sarah Everarel was a 33 year old , woman who was walking to her house in south London. Since her disappearance on 3 March, her name has become inextricably linked to public debates about women's safty, police conduct and even personal freedoms under lockdown. The media coverage in the wake of her death has been fast paced and wide ranging. But at the heart of this story is a young woman who didn't make it through her front door. Nina was just 19 when she found herself in front of lights and cameras, surrounded by people, she didn't know, asking the world to look for her sister. when she logged on to social media that evening in September 2014 after the family appeal had been broadcast on Television. She was met with a flood of support. But she also came across messages asking why she hadn't cried in the footage and they left her stunned.

Instagram Girls Suicide.

Social media groups involving teenage girls that led to suicidal crises and serious self harm have been uncovered by police, the official said . Twelve girls, aged between12 and 16 years old and from across southern England, were part of an  Instagram chat group whose name refers to suicide. The group was discovered when three of the girls went missing and were found seriously unwell in London. Instagram says it found no  suicide or self  harm related content in the group. How can we protect Social media's youngest users. The group came to the notice of police when three of the girls, who had been reported missing, travelled by train to meet in London. They were found seriously unwell in a street and taken by ambulance to the hospital for emergency Treatment.

Italy Easter Lockdown.

Italy has entered a strict three days lockdown to try to prevent a surge in covid-19 cases over Easter. All regions are now in the red zone the highest tier of restrictions as the country Battles a third wave, with about 20000 new cases a day. Non essential movement is banned, but people are allowed to share an Easter meal at home with two other adults. Churchs are also open, but worshippers are being told to attend services within their own regions for the second year, pope Francis will deliver his Easter message to an empty St peter's square. Italy's restrictions come as countries across Europe try to control a surge in cases of the virus, while struggling with a delayed vaccine rollout. More than 110328 people in total have died of the coronavirus in Italy and there have been 3.6 million confirmed infections.

UK Blood Clot Deaths.

Seven people have died from unusual blood clots after getting the Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine in the UK, the medicines regulator has confirmed to the press. In Total, 30 people out of 18 million vaccinated by 24 March had these clots. It is still not clear if they are just a coincidence or a genuine side effect of the vaccine.The Medicines and Health care products Regulatory Agency says the benefits continue to outweigh any risk. The world Health organization and the European Medicines Agency have echoed this conclusion. A spokeswoman for Astra zeneca said, patient safety remains the company's highest priority. However, concern has led to other countries including Germany, France, the Netherlands and Canada to restrict the vaccine's use only to older people. The data released by the MHRA on Friday showed 22 cases of cerebal venous sinus thrombosis.

Life is good in a country that's largely eliminated the virus, people are freely enjoying beaches, bars and nightclubs. Most of the famous arrivals are here to work. Australia's government has lured over productions like the next Thor film with Tax breaks. There's also the Australian stars who've come home, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Kylie and Dami Minogue, Rose Byrne, Isla Fisher and British husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

Taiwan Train Crash.

At least 50 people have neen killed and dozens more injured after a train carrying nearly 500 crashed and then derailed in a Tunnel in Taiwan. The eight carriage Train reportedly his a construction vehicle that had slipped on to the Tracks at the Tunnel's mouth. The Rescuers combed badly damaged carriages inside the Tunnel to find survivors, some of whom smashed windows to flee. The Train, from the capital Taipei to Taitung, was carrying people travelling for a long weekend annual holiday. Many people may have been standing because the Train was so full. The 408 Train is one of the fastest deployed on a network that is generally considered safe. It can reach speads of 130km. The latest reports from the national fire Agency say 494 people were on the Train, with 50 dead and 66 injured and taken to the hospital.

New Records hit Stock Markets.

Asian Markets rose on Friday following a record, breaking session on wall street.The S&P 500 broke the 4000 point barrier for the first time, while the Nasdaq and Dowjones also made gains. Investors were buoyed by president joe Biden's new $ 2,3tn infrastructure spending plan and growing optimism about the economy. Markets in Tokyo and Seoul were up more than 1% while shanghai was also in positive Territory trading was thin in Asia, as markets in Hong Kong and Australia were closed for Good friday. The latest highs in the US point to renewed confidence among investors that the economic recovery in gaining pace. The S&P 500 has gained 7 % since the start of 2021, although the Nasdaq is about 5% below its peak in February. President Biden's mega rebuilding package, which follows the passage of a $ 1.9tn stimuls has stirred more enthusiasm among investors.

Youtube Star Admits.

Beauty youtuber James charles has admitted sending sexually explicity messages to two 16-year-old boys. I fully understand my actions and how they are wrong the 21 year old influencer said in a video posted to his youtube channel on Tuesday. Allegations against charls first emerged on social media earlier this year. In February, the influencer who has 25 million subscribers to his youTube channel was accused by one to be 18. Charles had deenied previous accusations, but in Thursday's video, Tittled ( holding my self accounable) he admitted wrongdoing. He says there were two incidents one last year and one more recently, where he came to be aware that the person he was exchanging messages with was underage. He also publicly apologised to the boys and said he would take time away from posting on social media to educate himself about these issues.
